Press release

A solar collector was built onto the southern side of the Golden Sheep Hotel from EU funds.
23 May 2012

The Golden Sheep Hotel won a support of HUF 7,735,750 in programme “West Hotel Kft. solar collector installation project 2011”

The purpose of the programme is to reduce the use of fossil energy carriers and thereby to reduce the glasshouse gas emmissions. The fame and recognition of the Golden Sheep in the region may help in the popularisation of the use of renewable energy sources.

The main activity of the project is to modernise the hot and cold water system and thereby to produce minimum 40% of the used hot and cold water with renewable energy sources. Reasoning of the choice of the solar collector system: settlement with a proper geographic situation, southern roof areas on the buildings.
